My whole life was a stranger.
During my teenage, I had many chances to live or visit many other countries thanks to my parents’ jobs. But I didn’t know I would even be a STRANGER in MY COUNTRY because of my special background. Mixed cultured thoughts and lifestyle make people consider me something different.
One question in my life; “Is it good to live as a stranger in a foreign country? Is it good to be treated as a stranger in my country?”
Wherever I go, I am a stranger.
So, Who am I?
I am such a slow person. It took time to recognize and realize what I like, what I want to do, and who I want to be. /Till the end of my teenage, I didn’t know why I should go to the university, but I went because other friends did. Thus I didn’t choose my major, I just went to business school as it was popular. That’s why it took me 7years to graduate from the school as I wandered to know my own value. Now I know and reckon I should’ve had more experience of the world when I was a teenager to choose something well; something like a valuable and worthy experience not like “tutoring or studying with the books”
Anyway, I am living in Paris, France after passing through China and Japan. Technically, I am Korean (Of course from the south and also one of the Kims). The reason why I live in France is just for now, I think living as a stranger in other countries is better than the other option, mentally.
Basically, I’m an introvert and homebody who is happy when my plans get canceled but ironically very much enjoys discussing medical science, neuroscience, cultural differences, and social events. Also, I am very interested in thinking and researching in relation to other disciplines. So, although it could be heard as very geeky, I read “Guns, Germs and Steel” and “The mosquito” with interest.
Thanks to these diverse interests, my career has also changed. As a medical professional who graduated from the Department of Business Administration. He currently works as a health economist in the medical/pharmaceutical field (sometimes even work for the veterinary and cosmeceutical field as well)
On this blog, I would like to talk about my interests and share some information about “How to survive in foreign countries” or ” How to deal with the F*cking administration when the office man can’t speak(doesn’t want) English or your language.” (something very practical)
If you want to communicate as a stranger or get some info about MPH, Business school, and Career pivot. This blog is for you.
